Life is a series of choices and decisions. There are times when you have to choose and make major life changing events such as which university to go to, which job to get, whether to study something again abroad, who to marry, but there are also times when you have to choose everyday things such as which flavour of ice cream to buy at the ice cream shop, whether to do your homework before or after you play. We make choices and decisions in our daily lives. And because we don't want to make the wrong choice if we can help it, we may talk to someone about it, or someone may give us advice about what to do. But when someone tells you what might be the right thing to do and you just follow it without thinking it through, you are living someone else's life. You have to make your own choices.
Many people will disagree with you, especially if you are trying to make a choice that is unpredictable to others. Of course, these people are thinking about us.
